Clove Oil carries a warm, spicy, slightly sweet scent with a sharp edge typical of clove bud. It blends well with other spice and woody notes and is often used as a supporting note rather than the main theme of a composition.
It is used in attar and perfume blending, soap making, candle making and various cosmetic formulations where a spicy note is wanted.
Blend in small proportions with carrier oils or other fragrance materials, as it has a strong, concentrated scent. For soap or candle work, mix into the base at the melting or cooling stage as per the formulation being used.
