Cis-3 Hexenol, also known as leaf alcohol, carries a sharp green scent reminiscent of freshly cut grass and crushed leaves. It reads as crisp and vegetal, often with a faint watery or fruity undertone depending on dilution.
Used in small amounts within a fragrance blend, as it is strong even at low levels. Dissolve in alcohol or a suitable carrier before combining with other aroma chemicals or essential oils, and add gradually while testing the overall balance of the composition.
