Cinnamon Oil carries a warm, spicy, woody scent with a sweet undertone typical of cinnamon bark or leaf. It is used in small amounts to add warmth and depth to blends, giving an oriental or gourmand direction when combined with other spice or sweet notes.
It is used in attar and perfume compounding, soap making, and scented candles, where its spicy warmth works well alongside woody, sweet, or amber materials to round out a composition.
Use in small proportions and dilute before blending, as cinnamon oil is concentrated and can dominate a formula if added in excess. Blend gradually into a base and test the strength before finalising a composition.
