Cardamom oil carries a warm, spicy scent with a fresh, slightly sweet and herbal edge. It sits in the top to middle notes of a blend and brings a lively, aromatic quality that stands out against heavier or woody materials.
It is used in attar and perfume compositions, soap making, and cosmetic formulations where a spicy-fresh accord is wanted. It also blends well with citrus, woody and oriental notes.
Blend in small proportions with carrier oils or other fragrance materials, as its scent is strong even in small amounts. Dissolve in alcohol or oil base for perfumery, or mix directly into soap or cosmetic bases during formulation.
