Black Pepper Essential Oil carries a sharp, warm, spicy scent with a slightly woody and peppery edge, close to the aroma of crushed peppercorns. It is used in small amounts to add a spicy top or middle note to fragrance compositions, giving blends a lifted, warm quality.
Blend in small proportions with other essential oils or aroma chemicals, as its scent is strong and can dominate a composition. Dilute in a suitable carrier oil or solvent before use on skin or in finished perfume bases.
